This page contains the data and methodology developed for our chordoma and notochord project. Our main finding from analyzing tumors and notochord specimen were:

• Chordoma and notochord are strikingly similar at the molecular level.
• Chondrogenesis, a process of cartilage development, is the main pathway activated in chordoma. We identified this pathway through genes that are uniquely expressed in chordoma in comparison to normal tissues and tumors.
• We defined a diagnostic chordoma signature gene set. The combined expression of these genes distinguishes chordoma from most normal tissues and tumors:
